Clean slate

I had moved away from blogger 10 years ago. I moved to WordPress.com and then to my own hosting but continued to use WordPress as the blogging platform. In recent years I haven't been blogging much but I kept the website alive as an ego stroke. I kept moving between hosting providers because all of them have sign-up teaser rates which go up quite a bit after the first year. So I kept moving my blog to a different hosting provider every year. Most recently I was using 1and1.com for my hosting. They had an auto-renew flag which was set to true. Fortunately, my credit card had expired and they were not able to charge me. I did some thinking and decided that all I needed was to host my blog, I didn't need full-fledged custom hosting. But I also wanted to keep my domain name. I checked WordPress.com but found that they charge an unfair amount of money to use custom domain names.  On Blogger it is free since I use Google Domains to manage my domain name. So 10 years later, here I am. Now the question is whether I should start with a clean slate or port all the old blog entries. I am still undecided on that. Either way, this is a fresh start :)

Win Bigly

Do you like Scott Adams?

His recent book How to Fail at Almost Everything and Still Win Big was an eye-opener to me. If you haven't read it yet I highly recommend you buy it now or check it out from your local library and read it. You will learn at least a few tips and tricks to make your life better.

He is coming up with a new book named Win Bigly - Persuasion in a World Where Facts Don't Matter and a sample chapter is available for download now. Technically it is only for people who pre-ordered the book but they don't validate the information you give them, so you can enter anything. Go to this link and enter your information and you will be shown a link to download the PDF.

I enjoyed it. I hope you will too.
